Men's Club News

All are welcome to the Men's Club Breakfast and
Speaker on Sunday, November 13 at 9:00 a.m. to
hear Jim Alexrod from CBS News discuss his new
book, In the Long Run, in which he confronts his
life, including personal and professional
challenges. Copies of his book can be purchased
and signed by the author. A light breakfast
will be served. Cost is $5 for men's club members
or $10 for non-members.

Sisterhood News
|

|
Sisterhood is having their 3rd Annual
Mitzvah
Day and Soup Swap on Sunday, November 20 at
10 am. Come and help make, taste, purchase
a variety of soups. There will also be many
mitzvahs to choose from such as making flower
pots and get well cards for home bound temple
members, challah covers for the temple and
bringing a non-perishable food item for the
Highland Park Food Pantry. Kids are welcome to
help out too! RSVP to

The next Sisterhood Book Discussion is Sunday,
December 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the home of
Lynette Seader. The book being discussed is

After Night by Anita Diamant and the

Sisterhood's Paid-up Membership Dinner is
Monday, December 5th at 6:30 pm at the
Temple. Enjoy a home-cooked dinner by the
Sisterhood Chefs, a tricky tray auction, and
presentation
by our members on bios of many Jewish
Hollywood legends, young and old. Dinner is
free if your $30.00 membership fee has been
paid. RSVP to Rachel Modiano, Susan Winter or
Marnie Kean by November 25.
Sisterhood is now taking orders for 2011 Mah
Jongg Cards. Based on the number of cards
sold, the Mah Jongg League will make a
donation to Sisterhood. Cost is $7 for

The Nature of Aging and Longevity
|
|
|
All are welcome to hear Dr. Michael Nissenblatt,
Associate Director of Oncology at Robert Wood
Johnson University Hospital, speak on
Thursday, December 1 at 8:00 pm at the
Temple. His lecture is titled From Here to
Eternity: The Nature of Aging and Longevity.
Suggested donation is $6.00 for members. Light
refreshments will be served.

USY International Convention - Help Needed!
|
|
|
This year's USY International Convention
will be held at the Marriot Philadelphia Downtown
from December 25-29, 2011. Chaperones are needed
for all days of the convention. Since our USY
region, HaGalil, is one of the host regions,
Chaperones will be coming from all over New
Jersey. Chaperones can volunteer for 2 hour
shifts on any one (or more) of the days and attend
sessions of the Convention. Come light Chanukah
candles with 1,000 USY'ers. If you are

Boy Scout Food Collection

On November 19, our Boy Scout Troop will be
collecting food to benefit the local food pantry.
When you come to services, please bring
non-perishable food item to donate.
